# Bookkeeping
Accounts Payable & Receivable
The Bookkeeping tab is your single source of truth for everything you owe and everything owed to you. No more scattered spreadsheets, sticky notes, or “I’ll remember later”.
## Dashboard Layout
* Top half → Accounts Payable (money going out)\
\- Live banner shows total still owed to suppliers · + Add Payment button.
* Bottom half → Accounts Receivable (money coming in)\
\- Live banner shows total still owed by clients · +Add Invoice button.

Both sections use identical logic, just reversed direction.

### Adding a Record (Payable or Receivable Record)
#### **Click + Add Payment (top right):**
* Amount Charged → the full bill or invoice total.
* Amount Paid → how much was submitted.
* Paid on → date of payment.
* Due Date → deadline; overdue rows turn red.
* Invoice # → supplier invoice or auto-generated client invoice.
* Category → rent, Utilities, Consulting, Merch, Payroll, etc.
* Supplier name (payable) or Customer name (receivable).
* Notes → free text (PO#, scope, “paid via Solflare”, milestones, etc).
Click **Save** → record appears instantly in the correct table and updates your live outstanding totals.
#### Why This Changes Everything
* No more Google Sheets chaos.
* Every entry instantly updates your live net profit, reports, and yearly goal bar.
* Partial payments handled perfectly.
